a friend of mine has a stainlessteel shop and he offers me tu but my bumper with the torch as you say, and i´m really considering because its gonna be hard to cut that *****.
i want a 3/16 bumper now hahahaha

damn...I thought you were gonna say 2000....What kind of blades are you using? I know friction cutting discs wouldn't last that long cutting through that thick steel.
Can you take a pic of how that mounting bracket gets in the way of the sway bar?
I love my bumper, the whole body is 3/16" plate with 2 3/16" gussets in side, the body mounts are 3/8" plate and the d-ring tabs are 2 pieces of 1/2" plate welded together making them a 1" plate.

here you can see were the sway bar hits the bolt. the problem is going to be the other side, the bot is at the same place BUT IT HOLDS THE STEERING BOX.
so your brackets are 1/16? i think it is enough for holding a winch bumper right?? (really considering doing another bumper) haha
well i used a very thin cutting wheel for stainless steel, i bought them for $2 each in home depot. they are the sht.

My sway bar doesn't hit any bolts at all, so I don't know what's going on with your jeep....
I might have to get some of those discs

And that bracket thing where the fender bolts to the frame...I just bent mine out of the way

My brackets 1/16"??? Where did you get that from? My brackets to the body are 3/8" plate. I wouldn't go smaller than 1/4" for the body brackets on a bumper.

the sway bar hits the head bolt, maybe because of the 1/2plate + the head bolt, (but that is going to disapear soon hehe)
