nice talkin to every one too...too bad im the only one here without a lift.

luckily i have a job interview on thursday, and working with my friends dad this weekend. might get some wheels or just save the money. what do you guys think of a 4.5 inch lift w/ 31s? too small?? cause those treadwright tires are really cheap, and if im gettin this full time job, well then i dunno if i would spend 700$ on 32s or go with 400$ 31s...i guess it all depends on how much money im making...haha i get so annoyed when ive been looking for work forever and been wanting a lift forever. i know the first thing i want are some new wheels, and some 2 inch coil spacers...then im just gonna make a 2 inch leaf pack with another cherokee pack..so ill have 6 or 7 leafs.

i love the way that thing looks. and i finally got a job. haha. full time, makin about 10/hr. temp then prolly moving up in the fall. hopefully this means ill start buying stuff for the xj, well already did haha. went to wally world(walmart) and got a cheap 90$ amp and some 2 more pioneer 5-1/4" speakers. i got a soundbar from a 94 in a junkyard not too long ago, and thought an amp to run my 6x9s in my rear hatch, and run the new 5-1/4s in the soundbar would be good...well it is. now im thinkin im gonna get one of those boxes from kfxhellraiser...but that will be in a while. i think a budget boost and some wheels comes with the first couple pay checks. when i get that stuff ill start my build thread from the beginning (when i got it 2 yrs ago)

yes i´ll cut them, i think they are useless and they weight to much to be there, they dont provide any strenght at all, and the 1/2 and 1/4 will hold up well any kind of winch acction. and i´m concious that if i crash and dont die the unybody will have severe damage because that bumper is solid.

need some help urgent before cutting the brackets, from anyone with a custom bumper.

i need to know how many bolt you have on each brackets. PLEASE!

yea. the sound bar is from the headliner. im actually going to start looking for a new headliner from a 97 or newer cause they have a nicer sound bar, and my headliner is sagging. i actually helped my friend put a 01 headliner in his 90 xj...his headliner was not being held up by anything. it looks really nice and i really wanna get one like that. as you can guess...i do way more electrical/audio work then actual mechanical work. ive been thinking about dynomatting my xj just cause its so damn noisy, but i dont know how well that does with water and dirt...so ill just stick with cranking the radio to drown out all the highway noise haha. ive had 2 different head units excluding the stock one, new front speakers w/ waterproof foam backs, ive had 2 12 inch kenwoods in both a bought, and custom made box with a 1000w rms hifonics amp, then i had 1 12 with an ugly homemade box from scrap, i put 6x9s in the back hatch, i had 6x9s in seperate boxes in the back w/ my subs and with a 4 channel 600w rms kenwood amp, and now i have that sound bar with a 400w, 200w rms walmart amp with a kenwood excelon head unit.

i think you shoud look for 98 + headliner and soundbar because mine is a 97 and it is the old style headliner. and my 99 sound bar + headliner came in one piece, and the dynamat,
you shold try the my home depot "dynamat"

or my other home depot dynamat in my 99 xj.it is made from gorilla tape and aluminium tape, it is very stromg it has been ther for 3 years without any problem.

I'd do a minimum of 5 mounting bolts each side.

or you could do what I did. I welded a 15" long piece of 3/8" plate about 6-7" tall to my frame rail then used 2 bolts (1/2" grade 8) on each mounting plate on the bumper. I'll take pics if you want.
