now i have one last question, and that is someone said something about measuring the drive shaft after you install the SYE for the new cv drive shaft. so my guess is that the jeep would be down for that period of time while the SYE is in and cv is on order

You could probably guesstimate it. Find out the sye shaft length. Measure how long from the new sye length to the pinion and then knowing your lift height you break out the old pathagrium Theom (not sure if I spelled that right) ASquared + Bsquared = C squared. Just solve it like a triangle. Someone might be able to chime in on this, but if you measured it right I don't see why it wouldn't work.. But then again don't quote me on this

Yeah you can come close if you are good at math. I lucked out and I have ordered everything from rocksolidor.com and I have just about the exact same setup as the owner and he told me the exact length I will need so that was nice.

I bought this brand new RE hack n tap today for $80 off my buddy. He ordered it and decided he wanted to do a full SYE instead so he sold it to me. I am finally down the home stretch now I just need to order the drive shaft and wheels and I will finally be able to get my lift on there.

Are you 100% sure its the tranny? I read something a while back a guy thought it was his tranny and it turned out to be his t case that needed a new chain. I would check that and maybe U joints other than that I am not sure. Maybe someday else can chime in?

check u joints first. cheapest fix. check tranny mount. even t case is cheaper than a tranny. drain the t case and see if there is metal files in it. if there is good chance thats your problem. can also do the same with the trans. drop the pan and inspect.

sorry didnt see it was a manual trans. if the t case ends up being good, the syncros in the trans could be worn out. chech those after trying the other things first.

Does anybody know where I can find all of the torque specs for suspension? I have been looking all over and I can't find anything.
