The transfere case is good and woarks fine , i opened earlier to seal and all was nice so i guess its not there , even the noise its really under the shifter , i checked the shifter and the nuts that suport the shifter but the noise cames really that side ...my hope now is its from the trans mount case i hear only when vibrating in holes and bad roads , but the funny is that its not always and most times in the morning ..well warever , thankx and i hope i will find but im at long time alreaddy and i cant find what is it
I finally have everything I need to do for my lift. I just need wheels, tires and flares now. What are your guys thoughts on doing the lift before I get the wheels and flares? I know it will look stupid, just wondering what you think. I'd like to get it done.

If my XJ was my only means of transportation, I'd want to complete the look all at once. Driving around with a 4.5" lift on stock tires would look silly, as you mentioned. But if you don't mind that, then go for it.
Up to you. Is your XJ your only means of transportation? If not, there's definitely nothing keeping you from installing the lift now and letting her sit until you get new wheels, tires, and flares.

Well it's looking like my lift is going to have to sit at home for a while. I leave for baseball in about three weeks and I'm not going to have the money for flares and tires in time
so I plan on doing it over Christmas break

Ok will do. It will for sure be on before Christmas I get back December 19th and will be in the garage on the 20th. It sucks but I don't want to do a half assed job just to get it on there.
I have started shopping for wheels. With 4 inches of lift and 33's I think they recommend 3.75 back spacing. After I saw lordbyron's build on here where he went with 4 inches I really like the looks of that better. does anybody know of a place that sells these? I have had a hard time finding them

That being said, I went with 4" bs on 33x12.5x15 tires because it seemed like most people went that route and didn't have any problems as far as their tires rubbing on suspension parts or stressing the axles. I read through a lot of threads and it seemed like 3.75" bs could potentially be an issue. Plus I didn't want to go that wide. IIRC 4.5" bs is ideal for my tire size, but I didn't want them tucked in that much.
You should be able to find wheels with 4" bs on any auto store website. Quadratec, JEGS, Summit Racing to name a few.
You may already know this, but the backspacing just affects how much your wheels tuck in or stick out. A larger backspacing brings the wheels in more while a smaller backspacing pushes them out. If you use too small of a backspacing and the wheels stick out too far, you could place undue stress on the axle. As tire size increases, there is even more weight bearing on your axles.
