Cool, thanks man. I got the new parts for the distributor today. I think I read every thread on the internet about this issue, and it's these two little bastards.

This is basically a camshaft position sensor that works inside of the distributor. But the technical terms are "ignition control module + pickup coil (aka igniter)". Stupid!

Exact same problems caused by exact same type of parts in the ford engines too. Lol.

haha thats such a dumb design, ford and mazda were together in the 90's-00's so that could be why you guys are seeing similar issues, luckily my mazda has coil packs haha
