So do any of you guys have an NP242 that you use the full-time feature with?

I'm seriously considering a hack-n-tap on my 242 and running it for a while. I feel like I would miss the full-time feature for on roads in PA winters. Even though I already have the nice 231 in my garage...

We had a GC with the 242. Hardly ever used the FT. Either 2wd or hi. Even Jess preferred the feel of 4hi over FT. But that was back in 2000 we had that GC.

Yeah, I guess that's my brain playing tricks on me. Also now that I got my custom linkage figured out to work nearly perfectly with the 242, I'm a little more inclined to run it for a bit It will be a while anyways, I think I'm going to build the 231 until I'm ready to swap. Anyone have experience with the HD chains for them? What about t-case clocking?

About the clocking, if u have an ax 15 it's cake and only took me an hour to do so no drilling required

I'm running the Napier vents, they've got a lip on all the openings that keep anything from getting in.

Getting so tired of this powertrax no-slip locker, this happened during break in period of my 4.10 gears, customer service sucks, the locker is amazing when it works, id only recommend to someone if they got one that doesnt break or has badly machined parts, its really annoying

This happened in the middle of the snow/ice storm between 9pm-1130pm. The licenses plate is FMH 3652 NY state. Attachment 223615 Attachment 223616 Attachment 223617 I'd go as far as a $500.00 reward if I could have it back in mostly one piece. This killed my spirits last night, any help would be great.
Update: it was recorded with minimal damage.

Thanks guys!!

X2, my guess is some kid(s) took it to play in the snow, probably had body damage. Timing of the stealing sounds like it wasn't chop shop bound. But I could be wrong. They catch who took it?
