I live right in Indiana, and pass the police barracks every day to school and work. Depends on the officer, but they are **** about bumper height, tires width, and they even told my buddy his jeep had to much lift... Wrangler with 5.5 inch susp. 3 inch body and 37" tires... But the bumpers were all legal. Called the police barracks, talked to the head guy for vehicle regulations, and turns out, basically, that as long as your bumpers fit in the regs, that should be good. I got pulled over in my old wrangler and the cop took out his tape measure and told me he had to measure because it looked to tall... At traffic court, turned out it wasn't, and Jeeps(at least the wranglers) fit under the truck heights, 24 in the fron 26 in the rear... as opposed to 22 all around.
Pic was before I mounted the 38 Super swampers, but cops were **** non-stop. Pulled over at least twice a month. Nothing ever stuck, though. Just a headache, and made me late to work sometimes.

I'm in edwardsville and they evacuated 4 blocks away from me due to they thought it might be another 72 flood. Went to the pumpie to have a look and that was close to 10 ft from hitting the top of the dike.

However, it has 2 issues. 1- my factory fogs won't turn off with high beams anymore, and are on (like half power) whenever the lights are on. I replaced the fog relay and the fog switch. No luck. Every once in a while they work like they should. It makes me think I have a loose wire or a bad connection somewhere. 2- The jeep is hard to start, idles rough and loses power (feels like i'm slipping) when I start sometimes. Both issues could be many things, both big and small. Is there anyone in the PGH area (I live in Gibsonia) that really knows jeeps and wants to teach me a bit and earn some extra bucks on the weekend? I shutter thinking about going to a dealer or garage with these problems. You can email me at w.camp@yahoo.com.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the long email. Bill Camp
