Hi all I'm new here.

Picked up a 2000 XJ a few weeks ago to save my S2000 from this brutal NE winter. My appreciation for the Jeep grew surprisingly quick. It been exactly what I wanted for my winter beater on 4k budget.

I'm posting to ask if anyone can reco a good Northern NJ Jeep mechanic. I have a rattle coming from the underbody near the front that I'd like to get checked out. Its most noticeable when I start the car and at a stoplight, but barely heard when on the move.

Otherwise, it drives beautifully for being 11 years old.

After a full day of detailing the weekend I picked her up:

Ha should've been the first thing I check def seems to be that. But need to narrow it down to the exhaust or cat.

Wantage is about an hour away from where I am in Bergen County. Hoping for something a little closer.

 

Where in Bergen County are you from... I am also im Bergen nice jeep. welcome to the forum... I am not a professional tech but I used to work for Mopar So I could have a look for you if you want... So maybe you can just do it yourself...

So it was just a loose temp exhaust hanger. I'll get it re-welded eventually but good to know it was nothing else.
