His sliders really stiffened up the mid section as is. They attach in four places on the subframe and four on the body as well. You may be fine with just front stiffeners. I'll get you a pic later.

If so, they are really easy to rebuild. Do you have a press?

That sucks how that fool lied about stuff being "sold" or the jeep being taken away....

 

No press or bearing puller

 

Maybe Gary or Danny does.

 

Called a couple transmission shops and no one does manual transmissions except one shop(that's reasonable) quoted $450(labor)+parts....
Might take that into consideration...compared to a shop in Hialeah a coworker referred me to...charging $1200 just to fix what needs to be fixed...
I told him I rather you rebuild the whole transmissionfor that price he said it doesn't work that way...yeah crook is what he is...

 

450?...take it, thats a great price. Especially if they give you a warranty.

I'll keep babying that trans until the funds are there...

 

Neither of us have a press. I rebuilt plenty of manual tranys the wait on part stinks.

 

Drain and fill with syncromesh fluid.
