Yup... I hate 12s when you don't get the days off you're supposed to. I've worked every day since last sunday. I work tomorrow and tuesday. I'm on call wednesday, work the first half thursday and on call the second half, then I work fri, sat, sun next weekend and I'm on call again on halloween. If I get called in for all of those, I'm going to be the grumpiest bastard with bulging pockets you ever did see.

The money wasn't as much as I'd hoped but if I continued the trend, I'd be making 50k. No time to spend it, but at least I could sit at work and watch my bank account lol. Remind me not to dispatch for your center

Jeepin with Judd is coming up after the first of the year, gonna try to make that.

Pissed off a bunch of people in the clubs yesterday because I didn't go down south and enter the truck show. 1)I dont waste my time building show vehicles and 2) I had better things to do than stare at pavement princesses.

HAHA!!! Well, it's not ALWAYS this bad. Last year I only pulled in about 45 or 46k... This year will probably be about the same. My "best" year (money-wise) was about 56k... I felt like I was never home. I'm a dispatcher III though so I'm sitting about $4 an hour away from base pay.

I don't think I've made below 40 since I started here 8 years ago. Good God... has it really been 8 years?

ANYWAY... fleet department posted a position for an apprentice twice this summer. I'm hoping they'll do the same next year, 'cause I'm wanting to apply. It would be nice to do something I WANT to do for a change and be home in the evenings and have most weekends off. I enjoy working with my hands and this sitting/standing in the same spot tethered to a desk is getting to me... plus the fact that I'm about 60 lbs heavier than when I started here.

Would've been a detriment with the paycut. My wife is working now so it wouldn't be so bad.

Weekend was a blur, had to work Saturday, got another alignment on the Cherokee, tracks a bit better but need to swap front tires, prepping axle swap(Comanche), and will be doing it after work during the week, watched football all day,
Might get to doing motor mounts(brown dogs) on the Comanche as well after the axle swap
And Cherokee will be going under surgery, we'll figure out why is it leaking after a new valve cover gasket(felpro blue gasket the $40 one!), and putting in motor mounts(brown dogs) in it to...
