Since there doesnt appear to be a thread about this yet, I'll just put this here. 
13TH ANNUAL JEEPTOBERFEST, OCTOBER 23RD & 24TH. (Saturday/Sunday)

I attended both 2007 & 2008, AWESOME TIME!! And $20 is sooo worth it for the weekend.
Just curious to see who would be interested in rolling in together as a group, seeing as how there seem to be a few different people here in South Florida that are curious about doing an Ocala run. Here's my itinerary -
I'm trailing my XJ up there. I'm in Fort Myers. I have friends from Miami bringing a modded TJ, another XJ that'l be on 37's by then, and a YJ on Dana 60's with a welded rear. Still unsure of which route they plan on taking over, chances are they're just gonna take 75 North, then meet up with me and a few friends who are going from around here.
If more people were interested, we could arrange conman "pit-stops" if you will, where locals could gather to join up with the convoy. Obviously as time gets closer we'll have a better idea of times and whatnot, and if people here on CherokeeForum seem to be interested, we'll PM contact numbers as the event approaches.
During that Saturday night my group will be camping out at the Hard Rock 4x4 & ATV park, just 2 miles away from the Ocala Speedway where Jeeptoberfest will be held. For those who are interested, you're more then welcome to make camp with us if you're planning on attending both days.
As I said, I know this is still early, but I'm stoked for it and "HOPEFULLY" will have the XJ ready by then.
Opinions? More info? Previous attendees? Questions? Post up!

Yeah kinda good & bad I guess. It'd make the trip worth it for those farther away like yourself.

Hi Patrick. I'm Kevin from down here in Ft. Lauderdale. My wife and I plan on coming up and would like to hook up with your convoy. I'm running a basically stock (for now) '05 Rubicon. I'm new to the Jeep scene and looking forward to my first major Jeep event.

This looks like a cool event, I'm in Lakeland Fl, 3 months should be plenty of time for me to get my XJ ready, my brother has an OLLLDDD CJ, I'll be sure to fill him in on this, see if he wants to ride too.

This place is a very good time I will be there with my club the citrus county jeepers.Hopefully have my grand cherokee up and running with the new gears and locker.You guys are more than welcome to ride in with us a hang out and cook food.

August first today. We're about 2 1/2 months away. Went out in the garage this morning, very unamused to still see a stock truck filled to the brim with parts inside it. 
Didn't have much time to wrench on it because of work, and with a promotion I just got, the evenings during the week and Saturdays I had just disappeared as well.
However it shall be done.

Redbull and pizza, long nights. I have alot of work also but my brother and I plan on being there!
