I will let my Club The Mid Florida Jeep Clup know to see if they want to convoy there. Just came back from the Jeep Truck show in Orlando and got some great deals.

Bump, howdy everyone! Now we're getting down to the wire! 20 days!!!!
Google says it should take me 3 & 1/2 hours, but using an old ZJ to haul an XJ up there, plus stopping and meeting up with people, I'm thinking more like 5 - 5 1/2 hours.
I plan on taking I-75 straight up there. TO MY KNOWLEDGE, I'm the only one thats definitely going from my area. I have 2 others pending. Personally, I'm renting a U-Haul trailer, and I'm still not sure what time I'm leaving down here, I guess at this point it depends on what the general vote is for people tagging along.
I know this for sure - The Miami group, being led by "WhiteElephant" on here, is leaving Doral, Miami, at 9pm Friday evening. So far they have confirmed White Elephants' YJ, his brother in an XJ, 2 friends of theirs with a TJ & a stock XJ, a Xterra, and a Toyota Pickup. The YJ is being flat towed, so they aren't gonna be moving fast at all. If anyone on the East Coast, i.e Miami, Broward or West Palm is still interested, I can put you in contact with them for further info.
But like I said, I'm just taking a straight shot up 75. I don't mind meeting up with others along the way, so long as we arrange something like a gas station right off the highway. I will however be stopping at USF on the way up, picking up a good friend of mine, thats gonna be my only one real trip off course.
Gates open at 8am Saturday Morning, and considering how big of an event this has turned into, I wanna be in line to get in, I'm probably going to leave Fort Myers around 2am Saturday, which for example should put me in Tampa around 4:30 - 5 am, just for a reference. But thats just a loose idea, if anyone has any suggestions, please post em'.
My friends and I will be staying the night at Days Inn Hotel, in Ocala Saturday night. Then doing part of Jeeptoberfest Sunday morning, followed by Hard Rock 4x4 park so the other non-Jeeps can come have some fun.
If anyone on my side still would like to meet up along the way, feel free to post, as time gets closer I'll PM my cell for easier contact.

i have 5 jeeps going up to ocala friday at 9pm we are taking the turnpike and we are towing 2 jeeps so we arent going fast..if you guys want to join im going to set up a meeting point in miami and i guess as we up we can stop at the service plazas or exchance phone numbers and as we get close to that service plaza you guys take off....since taking off with trailers is not that easy when you dont have a 3500
