Mine is full time, whether i'm going 5mph or 65mph. I've still got some more space to go forward to adjust the castor, i figure i can hit at least 5 if i move it more, however i think the alignment shoe will be out of threading.. Guess i'll just have to tighten the **** out of the control arm bolt and hope it doesnt move. I'm seriously thinking about taking the drop brackets off and using the money from them to buy some adjustable lowers.

What you described to me isn't ZJ steering, it's the same as XJ except the tie rod is a little stronger and sits lower. You have an aftermarket crossover setup. Much better upgrade.

The ZJ steering is a good bit stronger than the XJ steering. XJ tie rod is hollow, ZJ tie rod is solid. TRE's are bigger too.
I know this sounds kind of ridiculous because im a teenager but im strongly considering trying to start a 4x4 shop around the soddy daisy area. It's been my dream for quite a while. The only reason I think it could be possible is because my dad has my back and strongly supports me trying. I would probably try to start it in the next year or 2 and am curious if anybody would use my shop and support me. I already have 2 friends that are certified mechanics and would be willing to work with me and I am going to a class this summer to become certified so I think it is possible but it would be pointless to start a shop of no one would support it. What do y'all think?

I think finances would be the biggest issue.
Youd have to be insured, and a decent shop space is gonna run around 2k a month.
If you need an IT guy let me know

Yeah I've thought about that and obviously I would start out in a small shop and work my way up. I'm going to talk to my dad about the insurance thing seeing that he is am insurance agent lol. I know the idea is a little far fetched but it's pretty much the only thing that I truly enjoy and want to do so I figure it's worth a shot. I'll be going to school for a back up plan but I'm still gonna give it a go.

Id almost think that before you dump 100k into the startup you go check out some of the little shops around and ask about the work behind the scenes.
Not trying to deter ya, just want you to be mindful of what it entails.
Unfortunately its not as easy as renting a shop and opening the doors. I wish that were the case.

Oh I definitely understand it's not that easy and thanks for the advice. I posted it on here for advice from more experienced guys that know more than me so the more advice the better. I'll definitely go talk to small shops and see what goes on behind the scenes. I'll do PLENTY of research before I jump into anything. Do you think I would get much support?

Im not sure..
Look at ringgold offroad. They are clearly growing, they just built a new shop and business there seems to be steady..but they have been around a while, and they are well known in the area.
Im sure there would be interest..but its impossible to gauge how much.

I would recommend going to work at a shop for a while, I have been turning wrenches for 11 years, tried starting a shop before working in the industry and had no idea what I was doing, just a recommendation.
