Ringgold is lucky in the fact that it's owned by Ringgold Dodge. Tom's is one of the few independent shops around and he gets most of his work from rich folks who like the look of a lifted jeep or truck. Mostly bolt on stuff, very little fab work. The fab shops around like Travis Wilson, Nick Soseby, Bacons, Jimmy Smith etc had a name before they opened up. Jimmy still works out of his garage and so do the Bacons. If you'd be happy bolting on lift kits, bumpers and tires then go for it. If you want to do fab work, work at a shop and get a name for yourself and then try opening a shop. Travis Wilson worked at Outback Offroad for years before he went solo. Also keep in mind most folks like us aren't going to go to a shop, rather do it ourself, so you'd rely on high school/college kids with their parents credit card to pay the bills. Not that that's a bad thing.

I plan on doing some fab work too and I know there is a whole lot that I need to do before I can be successful.

Well if you ever do open up a shop he'd probably be interested in working there. Dude knows his way around about 4x4 and pretty sure he's a certified mechanic

That my friend is crossover steering at it's half decent. I ran the exact one. It's made by Rugged Ridge. You tend to get a little bit of roll steer because the tie rod twist back and forth as you turn. JCR sells plastic pucks that replace the boot on one or both of your tie rod ends on the tie rod so it doesn't do this. I turned mine opposite directions then tightened the jam nuts and it got rid of almost all of it. I have a drag link and the stabilizer mount if you need it.

I'll dig them out of the garage today when I'm attempting to get mine in some kind of decent shape, front axle at least. New chromo shafts won't be here till Monday or Tuesday.
