actually i am working on a completely new set up, 8"+ of lift, 4 link rear, steering with hydro assist, and a nice set of 60s front and rear...with some 40" Maxxis Creepy Crawlers

ive read where alot of people wheel with up to 37's on a dana 30 and have no problems... but im thinking most wheel like mud trails and some 1' tall rocks which is why its fine... honestly it looks like the 38's stuff your fender wells alot so i wouldnt think there would be a ton of flex there for ya to do some hard core stuff... probly why its been fine... get them 60's under there and u and safish can go toe to toe on the trails lol...
im going to TN tomorrow to pick up a 9in with 4.88's and spooled that was just built for $200... its in a CJ7 now but im pulling the third member and sticking it in the 9in i was building for my XJ... sold my 5.13's for $150 that i hadnt installed yet and bought this lol... so basically i skipped all the gear and spool install fees since i cant do them anyway lol... ive got H1 wheels and 37's im planning to recenter for the ford 5x5.5 pattern... and double beadlock them... buy spacers for the d30 from 5x4.5 to 5x5.5 about 1.5in fat so my front will only be about an inch on both sides short... install used 4.88's (i hope) and a cheap used locker and this will probly be my setup for awhile as i buy and build me a D60... the d60 will become 5x5.5 as well since it way cheaper and easier to do then converting a ford 9in to 8 lug... only way to do that is buy moser axles custom made and thats just to much moneys for what i want... plus id have to buy another set of wheels and tires for awhile cause i dont want recenter my H1's twice...
i would build the dana 60 first but its gonna cost me the most... TnT makes a truss for the 78-79 thats already setup with mounts in the right locations and all which would be great BUT they only make it for the 78-79 d60 and thats a $1300 axle used... i just need a regular ol ball joint d60 cause im only running 37's... and i wanna wheel NOW not later... thats why i ditched my old projects and started this one... im ready to build while i ride instead of just build build build... lol... ooohhh i need to start another build page for this trash.... lol...

i drive my jeep carefully...i'm not one who is heavy on the throttle...i actually have decent flex with them...my rear shocks are too short right now to really get a good flex shot as they shipped me the wrong ones...i go alot of trail riding and i do some moderate trails...no i dont hardcore rock crawl it...but i go where ever a mildly built jeep goes...i have pushed it more and more lately since i will be upgrading everything soon and i hate to replace something if its not broken...plus i like to know just how far something will go till it does break...but thats just me
and as far as safish and i going toe to toe on the trails...i'm always up from wheelin...nothing wrong with friendly competition
btw safish nice rig...what are you running drive line wise?

There's a light blue 91ish with a brand new 4.5 RC lift with brand new wheels and tires and I think 141k on Craigslist... he dd's it and said its never been Offroad... looks good... try and find it... is a 5 speed as well... he's trying to trade for a automatic stock or not... I almost did it but I don't think he would want mine... lol... if I see it again ill send u the add... probly less then $4k but still nice... search Craigslist with the key word of only "Cherokee" and the first day going back like 2 or 3 weeks... then check it every day the same... that's how I find the best deals because I can always catch the ones just listed and it can't be missed...
