Anyone near Birmingham (or with an hour or so drive time) wanna help a guy out? My cruise control/wiper/turn signal lever is broken and i need to swap it out and have never done this type of thing. I have one on order which should be here next week. Anyone willing to help me pull the steering wheel off and swap this sucker out? Be willing to pay you for your time if need be or can buy lunch/beers. I would drive to you. Out here from Cali so no shop to do the work in other than the hotel parking lot.

My swith is bad too and i took the column apart once to change the ignition. And i still had a ton more to do to get to that switch. I have also read that it is a pia. But then again mine is a 87 and i have an older column.

Too expensive that weekend. I live down in Smiths Station I am sure we will meet up eventually. ATM I am looking at going to the gap on Sept 8 weekend. Should be back tot he 12 a person fee and more manageable for my tight budget.
