Yeah, I've talked to them before, but they're really protective of any spots that they know of close. It kills me because there is all of this land around here, but you have to know somebody that knows somebody. I've been in Columbus for almost a year, but it's been work and home so I haven't had time to make any friends.
Hi guys I'm from Lancaster, were you wheelin in New Straitsville or Tar hollow? I'm only 20 min from straitsville and I go down there often as my wife's family owns some land down there. Those trails looked great, where were they?
I think its kinda stupid, we all know that ohio is limited on places to go wheelin. Besides places like wellsville and painted rock, we are limited to private places and unmaintained county roads....You guys appear to be on unmaintained county roads, I have done some searching of these kinds of roads before by getting maps from the county engineer, its sketchy. I have been wanting to go to tar hollow and wheel. I say if you guys are on county roads share the wealth bro's, its not hard to figure out that you need a map from the county engineer....however it is hard to decipher between county road and private trail, so if you guys know what your doing then why wouldn't you help a fellow jeeper stay on the right path?...........
Anyways if you guys plan another trip I would like to go, it sounds like you guys were close to me, I need to do a few things to the jeep but I can still wheel it like it is.

Next time i go i will post. And im just the guy that knows a guy. Im not familiar enough with the trails down here yet to say this is legal and this isnt. Last thing i wanna do is get one of u fellers shot. The trails we ride are VERY unmaintained township highways. The landscape of which was drastically changed with the large amount of rainfall this last year. We have gone back several trails just to find them impassible. Sooooo...... Like i said, i will post nxt time we roll. We love takin new peeps w us. My rig and my buddys rig are both healthy as of right now so it should be soon. Tar Hollow is a state park and is open to anyone who eants to ride through. Nothing hard but beautiful scenery. Park maps available online. Nice place to snow wheel. Nothin prettier! When we get a good snow, i will post a ride and take u guys on the grand tour if u can make it.
That sounds good, back about 8-10 years ago we used to go wheelin all over the place, a place called 595 in new straitsville, richland furnace, natural gas log roads, just everywhere, (because we were drunk!). I tried to find 595 last year but couldn't find it, I would say just about everywhere we went was illegal, now I have kids and I'm out of my party stage I just can't do stupid stuff anymore, I haven't been drunk in over 2 years and also enjoy working out, so I do live a different lifestyle now. So that said, I'm very interested in wheelin unmaintained county roads around here. I would really like to find the new straitsville trails as my wife's family owns some land down there, so I go down there anyways....

K we have a ride scheduled! Tuesday morn, jan 17th, we will meet at the Lowes in chillicothe (45 mins south of cbus) at 10 am. Pm me if you are interested and i can give u my digits. If you are gonna come, it is suggested that your rig be trail capable. Stock will have a very tough time. There are bypasses by many obstacles, but not all. Please bring a full size spare. If u dont have one, we cant guarantee you will get back out if u lose a tire. Cb's are good to have as well, but not essential. No alchohol, keep foul language in your own rig and off the air as there will be women and kids there. Lookin forward to a great day. We get done maybe we can all grab a bite to eat. Hope to see you all there!
