Used to spend summers in Corpus Christi with family.

Brownsville Zoo was one of the best back in the day, might want to look into that.

You could take a ride North to Corpus and drive/camp on the beach at Padre Island.

BlueXJ is pretty close to that area....

He should have some better info on the area. But when I was there for work, I didnt see much of anywhere to do any wheeling...

The Confederate Air Force used to have a place in Harligen... Only flying B-29 in the world. and a TON of other cool WWII airplanes

The only places to wheel here is Whalen on down south almost to Mex and it is just some mud. Mostly folks here just run all the back roads and trails that run through the brush country. Most land is private so you need to know someone to get on much of it and I don't know anyone. So I just run the backroads and thats about it for this area.
Many folksd go run on the beach but I avoid saltwater like the plague.

I am here in brownsville. I wheel mostly back behind Boca Chica Beach and sometimes on 48. did go the dunes once on SPI when I did not want to pay the entry fee to get on the beach.
By the way anyone who want the FYI there is a shop on Boca Chica across the airport that is real reasonable.
