For you guys that have or had winches. When you buy a bumper for a which does it come with bigger & stronger brackets different from the stock bumper or did you guys have to make them? I'm looking into buying a winch & a bumper and I just wanna make sure when I buy the bumper it will come with everything I need...

 

Yes and I'm trying to find a time with him when I can go and pick it up.

 

If its a winch bumper, it should come with better brackets that extend down the unibody. Make sure it does before you buy it.

i almost rolled down a hill today, and i ripped a fender flare off today, it was a way fun day... i was the only jeep. there was like 15 atv's, pansies haha

 

you want plates that extend back like this, which pulls on a bigger portion of the uni-body then teh 3 ront bolts. also helps stiffen the steering box mount. the factory 3 bolts is not strong enough to trust a moderate/difficult recovery. its not the bolts or how many, its jus tthe amount of sheet metal (unibody) that its secured to. Last thing you want it a bumper flying at you when your winching off somthing...
