Based on what you want to do with it and where your at I'd stick with a 31-32, less stress on the drivetrain and you'll be able to get to the lake without getting a second mortgage for the fuel you'll use hauling your toys.

All im thinking is if your planning on running anything bigger than a 32 is get a better rear axle.. I am living proof that with 33s and 410s and a.turdy5 you can make it work.but..I am a very lucky case

there was a 29 spline 8.25 at the junk yard on wed, be a lot better then the D35.
If you plan on towing with your jeep, and not regearing it then stay with 31's.
