Anyone care for an update on my injuries? Gonna get one anyway. (recap, bicycle crash in august, nearly killed myself, broke my back and neck and some ribs and other assorted injuries, surgery to fuse part of my back and such. yada yada yada...)
I saw my surgeon Tuesday and she allowed me to remove the cervical collar I have been wearing since I was allowed to remove my torso brace in late September. She is very pleased with my healing, but needs to see me in March, and again in August. I still have some physical restrictions, no high impact activities, no mountain bike riding, or ATVs. And no running. I can get back to the gym with NO weight restrictions. Basically whatever I can tolerate. I've dropped one of my two pain meds. And I THINK most of my pain is muscle pain now. I went back to work part time in October and am back full time now. Except for days when I have therapy. And with the collar off, I can DRIVE again. Just in time for this snow! Yes, the neck muscles aren't as strong as they were, and yes, the neck is quite stiff.
Over Turkey weekend, my son got his Ranger out of the garage and straightened the garage up. I'm getting a new garage door installed today, and will insulate it in the next few weekends. I can't really get into too many projects till I get stronger, but I CAN go through the crap on the shelves and get rid of what I don't need, or condense to plastic tubs. This is long overdue. I also need to talk with my electrician neighbor about adding outlets and some lighting to the garage. As well as add or move my existing 220 outlet closer to the garage door, so I can weld closer to outside.
Plans for the ZJ in the spring include, finish modding the sliders I have for it and install them. Get the material I need for front and rear bumpers and skids and start these projects. I also am considering swapping the Chryco 8.25" rear axle I have into the ZJ, it has 4.10s. And I can swap in a HP D30 I have, add the 4.10s I also have into it. Just spitballing some things I'd been thinking of for a while already.

I have about an hour ten after editing. I'll see if I can make some time tommorow to transfer it to disc's. If anyones imterested, let me know. Be forwarned, its my first attempt at video editing, not Hollywood by any means, but, its still pretty cool. I've watched it about 20 times since the trip.
