This is one thing I've never been able to figure out. Since the track bar is curved, do you go off the actual bar or the imaginary line between the connecting points of the track bar to line the drag link up parallel to? I think its the imaginary line cause thats how mine is set up and I've never had a problem.

Well according to Ryan its the the drag link and tie rod that need to be parallel not the track bar.

So how much drop should i get on the pitman arm? There are 1.5" and 3" with prices between $60 and $110. I'm not sure which one to go with.

You are correct, the imaginary line. Draw two lines between the mounting points on your track bar and drag link and you want them exactly parallel.

At 3" of lift my drag link and my track bar are parallel, my drag link and tie rod are about 25-30 degrees off one another and I have no problems with wobble or bump steer. Would it be possible for you to post your alignment results? Might give us a better idea of whats goin on.

I believe I got the 3" drop pitman arm, but not sure. I do know it was the longest drop I could find, & I got it from that Jack It store on 3500s redwood road! this pic shows the drop pretty good

Hey Josh, start with the LCA's since you need them anyway. Then get it aligned again, I'm betting your caster specs are not within range. I really don't think you have a steering linkage problem. The 1" drop pitman arm and adjustment to the adjustable track bar only become neccesary if the drag link and track bar are not parallel.

posts #11 & 12 in particular I feel may be helpful.
If I'm wrong, on the next run I will bring you sir, a six pack of your favorite malted beverage. Keep us posted on what you find out.

Was a nice week end..... wish I had spent it doing something else than pulling my hair out... Took the dash board out and checked every connection, got the panel illumination to work...yeah me
Then spent the day trying to find a wiring diagram that doesn;t necessitate 2 ingeneering degrees to understand (failed)
Checking wiring for the blinkers... one by one
Still wondering if I should buy a new battery before I find the draw and take the risk to ruin it or wait more....
Anyway frustrating but fun..... because I am thinking of what I will be able to do with my Sundays when everything is somewhat working safely....
An now I am having a beer while trying to read wiring diagrams....

Hope you guys had a more "spring-like" week end
