I have had a good experience with Johnny Joint longevity. I am still running the same Johnny joints on my LCA's that came with the kit, and they are not noisy or failing yet. Installed October 2007. They are big 'uns. Like 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inchers I think. Well, that is a big 'un by some people's standards

On the road use Johnny joints
For trail use use heims
J.J are greasable when heims aren't..so my opinion on a daily driver would be the ones that you can service.

Heims will last longer but will make more noise. But for the most part a little white lithium grease and their quiet. If you gonna run a joint like a johnny joint go with a creepers joint. Cheaper, more bore options and easier to rebuild but I think they are an all around better joint. Unless you wanna spend the bucks get the evo joints, it don't get no better. Or summits jimmy joints are the best of both worlds but are pretty pricey also.

You planning a joint and a bushing per arm or joints on both ends of the arms?

You guys rock! I appreciate the input. I'd been reading up on the interwebz but I always feel better with a confirmation from people I know, know their stuff. On the web I always picture the info provider as some 15 year old in his moms basement that knows a guy who knows a guy whoes uncle said he heard (insert slam against or praise for subject here).
Going to check out the Creepers, but as of now I'm thinking Johnny joints at the frame end and bushings on the axle end.

I would agree with above. IMO If I where going with JJ's I would only buy currie's, for hiems I would only buy Ruff stuff. just my thoughts after some of the BS I've seen and gone threw... Its not worht skimping on joints.

Also Deven said his Creepers didn't alow enough flex and where binding. would have to conferm with him but at one point he said he didn't like them....

I am going to run 1 1/4 hiems for what its worth. andI think you only need to grease a crappy joint

I was wondering where in the hell you been, I expected you to be the first response to the question, lol!
And yeah, the Curries are the joints I'm thinking. I want to say those are what Clayton sets their long arms up with, and Jason said he's had no problems.

haha, been a good day at work today

another interesting point...

JJ - rebuild kits are about 20$ + or - depending on brand
RE- repalcement joints are 14-40$ brand new.

So long term Cost isn't a problem IMO
