right on, thats my first idea... I actually worked on a 95 grand today that had a crank no start issue. would kinda start (stumble) but would not run. had spark, fuel pressure. previous tech replaced distributor and CPS, then they passed it to me "the Jeep guy" LOL (I work for Toyota) any-who, It needed an ecm. It wasn't giving the injectors a pulse signal causing it to not get fuel.
Not saying its the sa,e problem/thing... just reminded me of yours.

They can't be really. You test everything around them. If everything is going in, and nothing is coming out.... its bad or a "place to start"
Or in your case, swap it with another one, if it runs it was bad, if it doesn't move on. Ecm's are 19.99 at Tear-apart in SLC, don't know about other yards. But I would swap it out and try it. From what you describe and what you have replaced I would think thats it. as It is the only thing that controls injector pulse and timing (if all sensors are working) from what I saw today.
Swap it out. Let me know how it goes. I did bring everything (I could think of) home to test all the stuff and see whats going on if needed. we should be able to figure it out. and run to a junk yard for parts if you want to try something for cheap...
We should be able to get it handled. (fingers crossed)
