I got my yolk for the HnT shortened today. Cost 10 bucks but with the tools I have it was worth it. Have to drill and tap what little I have left of the output shaft tomorrow. (Realized a HnT basically cuts your output shaft strength in half) I have a 242 so really no other choice.

Well my h/t kit complete with a drive shaft was $400ish. It sounds like a rebuilt shaft might be worthwhile if it involves shortening and rebalancing.

Yep that's the reason I went with OME. Only negative thing I have seen about them has been the price. BDS was the only other lift I was looking at. Went with OME because of the ride quality but for hard core wheelin its BDS. Best warranty period.

Yea the ride for ome is sospose to be the best but like you said the price is hard esp for the amount of lift you get. Yea got a quote for the 6inch bds kit for 1700 about three years ago. There is also a dealer here that stocks it too. Full traction and bds use the four link design and I've heard that Clayton was designing one also. So three link, radius arm and four link with a rear coil and 2x2 square arms. I like a lot.

Where do you guys go for new u bolts? I figured I should replace them when I build my bastard packs, and I suspect I'll need longer ones.

Yeah I have ome suspension and its awesome. Rides slightly more firm than stock and does well off road. I got all my stuff from dpg off road. Dirk is the guy that runs the show and he is good.

Got the HnT finished up tonight. Probably the most stressful thing I have done.
