I have the 6000LB works and pulls fine, especially with a decent ****** block your winch won't work so hard...

Did you check the plastic heater valve for a crack? Reason I ask is that mine was loosing coolant and could not figure it out. Took it to the shop and they said it was fine yet the tell tale little puddle under the jeep indicated otherwise. Was not till I changed out spark plugs bumping the heater valve when it spew fluid letting me know where that actual cause was. Just a thought. Hope it is cheap and easy to fix.

Dang man, sounds like my college dorm days and what I ate. I didn't flood my truck back then but we had a hell of a snow ball battle in the football stadium one year it snowed and I was soaked and cold for a week.
