Four Corners, What Did You Do to Your XJ:
Still habbing my Cherokee from the previous poor owner. Today I replaced the tailgate arms, replaced the door switches, thought about modding a '95 grand cherokee center console to fit in my 93 cherokee. Also planning on adding the grand cherokee roof console. But that's a couple weeks away. Next week doing the rear brakes and front u joints.
Last month a buddy of mine helped me weld the passenger front door hinge. Couldn't believe it, I bought this truck and the owner tells me the pass door won't open because the linkage was all jacked up. So I goto fix the linkage and i disengage the door and it damn near falls off. Come to find out the previous, previous owner had the front doors open in a valley and the wind took both doors off. I should've known, the drivers side door hinges didn't look like factory welds.
Replaced the clutch, that took about a week of on and off working on it between work and family obligations. Damn I learned a lot though. During down time I replaced the front pads and rotors.
Aside from the rear brakes and consoles, I plan on finding a sound bar and moving the 5 1/4's from the tail gate to it. Or I'll fab a new tail gate cover. My current one has all the plastic clamp holders busted off.
Come early spring I'll see about lift kits. I don't even want to think about it right now. Between the Cherokee and my eyes constantly searching for a Wrangler around the same age...I almost want the Wrangler more and do the extra nice things like lift and lockers, etc to it and just get the Cherokee right for my wifes foofy 4wd trail rider.
I'll probably end up making both heavy duty trail rigs...but I'm dying to get under my own Wrangler. Anyone have a cheeeeep project they don't want to continue with?

After combing the JYs all wknd for a bolt in driveshaft for my SYE (no luck), I went and dropped off another driveshaft to be rebuilt. This is becoming the s-l-o-w-e-s-t b-u-i-l-d ever!
Still have a bunch to do.

down sized tires.....i think the 40's had something to do with the tcase blow up.
also i dont want to spend the money on a d60 when i just put the hp d44 in in may.
now running 36x13.50x15 Irok radials........i think the hp d44 will like these better!!! plus they ride super smooth compared to the bias plys!!

i traded my 4-40'' bias iroks for 5-36'' radial iroks and $300.
both sets of tires have 95% tread. i did some math...you can prob smell the smoke, and the 4-40's cost me $1288...his 5-36's cost 1580....plus he gave me $300...i made money on the 40's.
but thanks for the interest!!...let me guess, they would have been for your buddy with the huge black and red, rear coiled xj?????
does he work at oxfrod and federal?

You made away sick on that deal!! Those Iroks are pretty much 37s. And radials last longer. Nice score!!

thanks...i figured i scored big!! but at the same time, i look at my jeep on the 36's compared to the 40's and i want the 40's back!!
its all good.......bigger isnt always better

and the radials ride way way way smoother than the bias....but that was expected....

lol man...lol. try having 40's and going back to 36's....it sucks. but at the same time its great to know, when i wheel, i wont be eating lunch with greasy hands!!!!......as long as all my welds hold!!
ripped my zj seats out of the xj and started building new seat mounts for my new $100 corbeau seats!! also sold the zj seats 30 min after i pulled em...for $75. i now have $25 into my new seats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
