Today a took a gas soaked rag and stuffed it into the gas filler tube, took out a lighter and was about to light it up,,,,then I decided I should just fix it instead.

Got my RC relocation brackets and 2" shackles installed.
I'll mess with the shackle angle once I install the new coils and pick up my longarmz from Frank.

Installed some LED lights in the rear cargo area. I did not have any so it was time. I mounted them to the upper facia and tap into the wiring that was already there. Attachment 59409
Attachment 59410
Here is the finished product. I think it will work good.

Gossamer I'm drawing a blank on terminology here but essentially it's allowing air to flow through the engine bay instead of getting trapped, so it's greatly increasing the efficiency of your radiator.... I really wanna look up or hear details of what vents were used and more about the install... If I could drop my water temp 40* using a stock temp thermostat I'd be psyched

Best bet would be to change out to a 180 degree t-stat so it will run 190-195.
I used 1987 chrysler new yorker turbo hood vents which are the same as the labaron hood vents.

I noticed maybe a 2 degree change when I put my hood vents in. The stock t-stat opens at 190 degrees, so your not gonna be able to drop your temp 40 degrees with a stock t-stat. Your jeep should run at around 190-210 degrees or you will suffer bad mpg's. Your computer will think your engine is to cold and dump more fuel to compensate and try to warm it up. This can be bad for your cat and other misc items.

i have read that a ton of people get huge temp drops with the hood vents, such as gossamer, but i was not so lucky......so im not saying dont do it, just go into it with an open mind...lol
i know for a fact it is more efficient, cuz when im at stop lights, i can see the heat waves coming out of the vents. its gotta be cooler air under the hood anyways.
and btw, im no expert! i just have nothing better to do! and i do have a degree in automotive applied science.....that explains some, but most i learned from doing it or reading on the internet.

i stared at this thing for a while trying to figure out a track bar mount........its almost ready to bolt in!!!
im gonna swap it in before the arbs and gears.....prob right after the bacon express. i would do it before, but funds are low and i still need steering parts and rims. i think the truss is turning out pretty sick....what do you guys think?

yes i know my driver side upper mount is cocked......i will be cutting it off and re-welding it straight.

i did have a cherokee i could not get to stop over heating in the summer no matter what i tried. i used that Water Wetter stuff in my radiator and it cooled the jeep 10 degrees. never overheated again.
