Why would I need to drop it? If it something to do with tcase, then it's not needed cuz I have an SYE

Im sayin if your bolts are broken and need to be drilled out, the dead bolt method will make it drop

Ahh okay yeah they aren't broken I don't believe. Gonna try and get it fixed this weekend. Gotta find a place to find some bolts that will work.

I didn't buy my mog solely for its offroad prowess. And mine was missing the merc badge anyway. There is a lot more to unimogs than just the portal axles. Mine had 4000:1 crawl ratio, live hydraulic hook ups front and rear, tractor PTOs front and rear, a 3 point hitch at the back, and a dump bed with a 2 ton load capacity. All in a package about the length of a TJ. My next one will have the backhoe and loader bucket as well as a grader box and maybe a snow plow.

Those are fine attributes ,if you're a FARMER .

I'm willing to bet that's what he was using it for since he wants a backhoe on the next one...

My 29yr old dodge truck has been holding up nicely. They arent to bad, but no doubt the cummins is a beast.

Agreed. The cherokee was one of the last "good" vehicles.

Here's my "new" toy. I put new in quotes because I got it a couple weeks ago and because it was built 39 years ago.

It currently has no engine in it, but I have my choice of 390s to drop in. The one I'm looking at now might be a 390GT. If it runs I should have it in by next weekend. Then I just need some "new" tires and some wheels. D be interested in some mag wheels and 33s if anyone has a set kicking around.
