Paha, i was kinda being sarcastic. I would be TERRIFIED to drive there! those people, even though a lot of them own fancy cars drive like maniacs!
Most i would do is take the beamer around the parking garage it's in.

Lets say my jeep (219k miles) has averaged about 13 mpg it's entire life (Currently does about 16-20). So in it's life it's used about 16,800 some gallons of fuel. and maybe 438 quarts (about 110 gallons) of engine oil (If it was even maintained properly)
So about a total of 36,294 gallons of oil was used by this jeep.
Now for the Prius
According to Jeremy Clarkson, here
, the nickle in the batteries for a Prius is mined in Canada, shipped to Norway on a cargo ship (Which according to this http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_f...iner_ship_burn burns one gallon of marine grade diesel every 44 feet) to be made into batteries, then to japan via truck i assume to be put in the Prius. Then for us in America, is then shipped to the US via cargo ship i would assume.
The trip from Canada to Norway alone (As a crow flies) is 3639.33 miles. That's 19,215,662.4 feet which means more than 436,719 gallons of diesel was burned in that trip alone.
One 42 gallon drum of oil makes ten gallons of Diesel (or about 19 gallons of gasoline btw). So that's 4.2 gallons of oil to make 1 gallon of diesel.
1,834,219 gallons of oil, to make the batteries alone. **** i hope i got that right!
