Was looking at my drive shafts today very closely while off the Jeep while doing pinion seals and it appears that the rebuilding of my shafts last year was not very complete B/C with the rear shaft I can very easily spot the same ripped grease boot on the CV centering ball in the double cardan that was there b4 the "rebuilD" which is probably why both these shafts are needing a complete rebuild , and I 'm certain I never got what I paid for last summer ...Anywho it's stuff like that has me orderibng a few new metal working tools ,as I'd rather f' up during the learning curve than pay shops huge labor fees for sub par work and sub par materials , and then kick myself for paying for half *** .

Not sure it was out sourced to who ever the shop used ...I just got a list of what I paid for by the shop that sent the work ,but no details of who did the work...kind of like when I brought my 2 tires to that shop and who ever they brought my tires to completely destroyed 1-bead on a brand new bogger ,which was purchased as a blem , and the other tire had a side wall puncture which I drove home on it with one skinny radial tire plug and it held air for a week , so obviously a patch plug or atleast a bias tire plug would have done the job ...that tire was about 90% tread , and it vanished never to be seen again ...lol...I paid the shop ,but have no idea who they outsourced the work to...anywho in almost 2 years I've spent big money on my Jeep at shops and really never got work that reflected the fact I was paying TOUSANDS for the work ...So while i'm sure there are places that don't do half *** or hide half *** hoping you never do any of your own work and find that half *** I'm stopping the lazy-ness and will do my own work even if it takes longer...lol...in reality when a shop only spends a few hours on the jeep but has it for months ...I could have done it in that time frame and learned something ,and at a fraction of the cost .

It's like paying thousands for metal work and having the builder leave a 6 dollar piece of kinked tubing on the Jeep rather than redo his kinked bend .
wow no need to bash on here ! thats just bad mojo
