I bet not as bad as mine. Spent my first 4 hours of 5 scheduled work in a meetings. Then the last 45 minutes we ended up having another meeting. Worse part is the shortest meeting was the successful one since the owner wasn't there

I was 1 minute late, ONE MINUTE and he botched.. then he lost paperwork, blamed me for it and sent me off to go clean... Then he finds the paperwork and gets pissed I didn't find it for him... That was just the first 35 minutes of me being there

Meant Chris, just wondering what kinda job it is, what industry. Sounds like he's stressed and you're an easy whipping boy

Compared to my last job this one isn't nearly as stressed but still is. Anyone who has worked a management level in any hotel can relate.

Any service industry really. I've supervised, served, cooked (current position), hosted, etc etc etc at many restaurants. I feel you on the stress factor, our industries (hotel, restaurant, etc) has some of the highest risks of heart attack, stroke, substance abuse; shall I continue? lol! But I Love it! What hotel do you work for??

Use to work for Marriott. Was transportation manager for 3 properties. Technically I had 6 bosses, supervised about 30 drivers when talking to people about something it was about 60 people total. By far the most expensive department it would cost about 900k a year to run it.

Did that job for a while them got tired of it so decided to go with a front office manager position at a best western. Supervise about 10 people talk with about 15 people total. A lot less stress and more time with the family

Sounds like a perfect move, can't wait to land a managerial position with an actual salary and benefits.
