Could debate this day/nite , but really there is no more justification for lifting a rig sky high to look good and grab attention when cruising or building a rig to bounce over boulders offroad ...neither are necessity and both are just for hobby and play , so neither is any more righteous than the other.

About 42's and did just fine open open on chinamen's taking hard lines.
.
Once he gets to mud he, or similar ones will leave us in the dust. Big tires and big hp is king in mud. Wife's truck (before it broke) was fun in the mud. (look in the background, only one I have at the moment)

while chinaman is challenging, it's a pretty open trail. i can't see that rig (especially if it's a long bed) going up the waterfall, nor on trails like red elephant. just too damn big. mud yes.

Not debating the trail worth of a 160 wheelbase rig on a jeep trail ...or even trail worth...What i'm saying is a vehicle built for the trail vs one built to look good and drive for show is the same thing it just depends on what you want out of the vehicle ,so a waste of money depends on your taste , and to a show truck guy lifting and bashing is a waste and to an off-road guy lifting and street driving is a waste ...so neither side is any less a waste of cash .
