i agree to a point. if the veh is going to be lifted to be used for a purpose, then im all for it. but i see these HUGE 3/4 ton trucks on an 8" lift running huge tires, and i just dont get why. looks cool, but huge waste of money, IMO.

There used to be one of those on my block, idiot did it himself. Never even took it on a dirt road, and the drive shaft never seemed to be connected at both ends, thus why i said he was an idiot. I think he sold it or he moved out, haven't seen it in a while now. Four-door long bed F350 Super duty, had all the skid plates he could put on.

I'm not sure you could call spending thousands on an offroad lifted 4x4 and bashing it over boulders any better from a financial spending stand point ...lol

the difference is our bread boxes can be taken offroad, and therefore there is justification. unlike the other trucks which see no offroad use. a geo metro will get you to the same place as those trucks.

It's all in how you see it ...some see putting a grip of cash into a vehicle and bouncing over boulders offroad and slowly destroying it as a complete waste of cash . Others see lifting a vehicle and never bouncing it off boulders and maintaining a nice paint job free of dents as wasted money .. it's all in your taste ..i happen to like show trucks as much as offroad rigs , and if my ram was not a tow rig it would be on 40's and never more than a mild dirt road ...lol

Could debate this day/nite , but really there is no more justification for lifting a rig sky high to look good and grab attention when cruising or building a rig to bounce over boulders offroad ...neither are necessity and both are just for hobby and play , so neither is any more righteous than the other.
