Really nice people. Lifetime warranty.... They added on to their garage and turned it into a huge shop and office area and its really nice. My wife's Durango is getting the front windows done next week and they're going to do some tinting on our house also.
Highly recommended due to the quality of the job, the price, they're a privately owned company (not a chain) and just seem like great people

Exactly. And I'm too OCD with stuff like that to try and do it myself. I'll spend more time trying to get it right than it should really take.
Plus I thought $125 with me taking it out and dropping it off was reasonable enough to get it done right.
The go to guy in the area that all the classic car guys use did it for me. Plus he is a customer of the store so.....
Same with window tinting. PO owner put in tints that turned purple. The go guy in the area for that wanted either $200 or $250.
Can't remember which.
Peel off the old and put on a quality tint. But not including the front door windows that were not done by the PO.
If I tried to do it I would have done a crappy job. I just know it. LOL.
I went a different route. Was able to score all the factory privacy glass for $200. I did the cargo and rear door.
Had my glass guy do the rear hatch. I pulled the door and cargo glass but had my glass guy pull the hatch glass from the donor.
I did not want to try and end up breaking it. $100 to pull the donor glass, take out mine, and put the donor glass in. Plus about $32 for new molding.
Now I have tinted glass that I can't accidentally scratch when putting something in the Jeep. Plus I figured the extra $80 to $130 it cost me to do this
over having them tinted was not totally unreasonable.
I would have the tint guy do the front doors but don't really care and not sure what the laws are in my state. Don't feel like finding out the hard way either.
I did hear that a 20% tint matches the factory privacy glass really good. Since I have spare front door glass I might get daring and try to do it though.
With the glass out of the door. More to see if I can pull it off then anything else. MLOL.

I debated trying to find factory privacy glass to swap in all my windows. But that would have been much more feasible about 4 years ago before I started having children. Almost thought I was going to have a 3rd one in about 8 months until my wife showed me the negative sign on her little stick she peed on last night (TMI?) Now, my life consists of work, kids, sleep, repeat. I try to find time to eat when I can hahaha.... Its hard for me to start any kind of project that requires starting and completing in 1 stab at it, and I bet a window swap would take me 2-3 days due to interruptions and whatever else I would have to do in between starting and stopping the job. I do have 2 other vehicles to drive if my jeep had to sit while the project was going on, but I guess that's not the point (in my mind). As I begin piecing together my lift, I'm almost already dreading when the time comes to put it all on because I can already see my jeep sitting on jacks in the driveway for 5 or 6 days. But I guess I'll just have to take the t-tops off the Camaro and cruise that to work for a few days. No big deal because I work with a lot of pretentious butthholes that drive BMWs and Audi's & other sporty cars that think they own the road and enjoy showing off how "fast" they think their cars are. Well we will see about that when I get in the Camaro. The main road that leads to our plant entrance is about 5 miles long with no stops. So yeah, it'll be fun.
I think mine had privacy glass. It's been to long to remember. I got it tinted in New Mexico when I lived there. It's a little to dark for the law here but I've never had a problem with the cops. I've done a few headliner and have the material to do the Jeep I just want to find a headliner board that doesn't have the built in rear speakers first.
@RockyMtn96XJ Sounds like a fun way to get to work 😅 I can imagine it being hard to find time to work on it with kids but maybe you'll eventually have some helping hands.

Who's up for a Denver, CO based trip for an easy to moderate trail mid to late November? I can take a day off work to do a weekday, or we can plan weekend camping with trails both days. I'm thinking something like Pickle Gulch (Black Hawk, CO) or Middle St. Vrain to Coney Creek (Ward, CO). This is all dependent on the ongoing forest fires, of course.
I will be locked F/R on 31" BFG ATs, full recovery (potential winch, but not sure if I'll get that wired up by then), and skidded all around. This will be my first trip with the new XJ (extensive experience 10+ years ago, but my first trip since then), so it'll be a bit of a shakedown for me.
All I ask is that whoever I go with is respectful to the trail systems and surrounding environment. -Nick

I'm down. I'm completely stock and won't have my 4.5" lift and tires by then (still need a few more parts), but if a stock XJ can make it where you want to go then it sounds like a good time to me!

Hmmmm, well I can get a hook hitch for my rear receiver, for the front though..... May be SOL. I'll research a little bit about the places you mentioned. I was reading about Slaughterhouse Gulch also a month or so ago. Seems like its a good trail for stock because it has places to go around the larger obstacles that a stock jeep may not make... It's also a loop.
