looks like the sunflower mine trail is being destroyed by the fire. Dont know if any of you have done this trail, but it was one of my favorites...my uncle taught me how to wheel 25 years ago when I was 15 on this trail and reno pass (which is now closed) sad...I hope they dont close it, but if they dont, the scenery and possibly the mine itself will most likley be gone

My jeep is running hot as well. It seems every XJ I have had here does that during the summer here. Like other suggestions before, cut vents in the hood and run a constant electric fan or multiples. I have left one XJ stock and did nothing it only over heated if I went to Tucson from Phoenix and it was over 110 outside and I was going 80mph the whole time. Otherwise shorter trips no problem.

Nothing wrong with rattle can. I did mine with the flat desert tan. I think it was 7 cans. Then used 3 cans of flat matte clear. If you do clear use a descent brand name. Mine is starting to fade a bit.

there's definitely nothing wrong with rattle can. I'm thinking about doing the lower half of the jeep in bedliner to cut down on the arizona pinstriping. I'm sitting outside right now looking at it and it's so damn hot out I dont wanna move. thanks for the advice on the clear coat. I will definitely make sure to get some good stuff.
