His name is Daniel. He is a member of the club but otherwise, I don't know much about him. His XJ has a minimal lift and 31s. He was stuck a lot but actually did pretty well overall.

Looked like a lot of fun. Wish I could have gone but had my entire family in town for the holidays so it didn't work out this time. Maybe next time

Sorry I couldn't chat yesterday - you were tied up on the phone and I was in a bind looking for something to keep my guys working!! Anyhoo...

Tell me more about this run on the 20th??? I'll look Salmon Dam up on the map to get an idea of how far away it is. Are you planning on going?

I plan on ice fishing salmon this weekend and I may take the jeep out too to check out the snow conditions. Btw Toby, salmon is about 45 mins away heading toward jackpot.

Yes I am planning to attend if I don't have to work. I'll find out for sure tomorrow. The plan is to all meet at the Sinclair station between Hollister and Rogerson on Hwy 93 at 7:45 (or earlier) and all depart for the run at 8:00AM.

Are you towing or driving?? Full day and into the evening, or are they planning to be back in the afternoon sometime? Anyone bringing kids and sledding gear?

I am planning to trailer my XJ (mainly to try out the new trailer). I will be bringing my adult niece.

You should figure on all day. One never knows how it will go with snow runs. However, I would rather be back mid to late aft. I have not been on any of these trails. It depends a lot on snow conditions and who comes (more capable rigs).

There may be other children if Jason Armstrong comes. The group likes to be family oriented so I'm sure no one would object to a little frolic at some points. I will inquire with the club group to see who is going and let you know.

Sounds great!! How many road miles is it roughly from Twin? I'm on the fence about driving vs. towing... One consistent issue with snow wheeling is airing back up when your valve stems have frozen, so sometimes it's nice to just toss it on the trailer and not even have to worry about it. But at the same time, trailering adds an element of slight PITA at the end of the trip and if there is only like 20 miles of pavement, well... And yes, we will certainly be prepared for an extended trip in terms of food and clothing, was just wondering if there was a general consensus amongst this particular group. I know back home there is at least one group that doesn't believe in going if they aren't out for like 12 hours... Good with me, but notsomuch for the kids.

Toby, It is a good 35-40 miles from TF to where we will start the actual trail.

I will have my tires aired down already since I am trailering and then, like you said, it is nice to just drive on the trailer for the return trip aired down. I'm pretty sure Jeff Trammell is trailering too.

Having the kids along is no problem at all. Jason Armstrong is planning to come and he usually brings his kids. I will call him this evening and ask him about that.

With the winds we have had the snow could be pretty drifted and crusty-hard. It will be interesting to be sure.
