Just do a search for Boise. You'll find a specific Boise Idaho thread. Mountain Home has a very active off-road club, biggest in the state I think. Wild West Off Roaders.

Highly recommend 4.88's with 35's west. That is with an automatic. With a 5 speed I'd go 4.56. You won't be disappointed.

Not sure if I'm gonna make this trip dirtster, I've got some strange clunking coming out of my front end and I'm thinking it may be my r&p. also have something lose suspension wise on my front driver side that I can't figure out yet. I'm gonna pop my dif cover off and check here in a bit but it doesn't look promising for me

Yeah, I lamented all day ... sun shining and I'm home with the hood up. Drats!

Yes, I ordered a new repair kit for that fuel line connection ... a $6.50 part kept me outta the fun. Oh well, better that than a fuel fire, for sure.

I talked to Jeff and he said that the snow was pretty deep in spots. Ron apparently had a rough time since his jeep is only a 4 banger. It takes lots of power in the snow.

Well, I hope there will be more outings in the future we can XJ it.

alright fellas heres the deal both my buddy and I sold our cherokees and they both ended up down in the twin area. Well we have some goodies left over that we saved for the next jeep but who knows when that will be. I am posting them up here cause I don't want to deal with shipping the parts. They are all at my buddies in Caldwell but he will be down on the 29th and can bring the smaller stuff.

heres what we got.

Rubicon Express Hack and Tap SYE for NP 231 have all parts except drill bit and tap. $125

a couple cv drive shafts that should work with the SYE. $50

Dana 30 4.56's i believe they are for HP 30. good shape $100

Dana 30 detroit tru-trac has some damage to the case but shouldn't affect it. $150

the holy grail XJ rear dana 44. Complete minus brakes needs bearings replaced. includes 4.56's and 2 carriers one open 3.92 up and one trac lock carrier that i believe is 3.92 down. $250
I know these are hard to find.

pm me for details and contact info.

Hey guys. I just installed new differentials in my XJ with Warn hubs on the front so now my Eccos
won't fit.. I need new wheels. I'm coming to Twin from Elko Thursday and I hoped you guys might be able to steer me to your favorite tire/wheel shop that might have what I need in stock. I'll cruise the net but a heads up would help.
I'm planning on some chrome or aluminum mid range pricing.. No black wheels for my black Jeep. (Recommendations welcome)15x8 and around 4" BS for my Cooper STT 31 x 10.5 and future 33 x 10.5. 3.5" OME.. There's a picture of it in this thread I believe.
Would also consider a clean set of used wheels if you guys happen to know of some.

The Eccos will be for sale - 4 like new, the 5th IS new/never on the ground and 4 JEEP center caps ($250 ?? delivered to Twin Falls).

Thanks

Gary, you might stop by Jeff Trammell's shop at 317 Addison Ave West. His shop is Advanced Suspension Design. Ph is 208-732-5334. He specializes in off-road suspension modifications and talks to lots of 4X4 folks. He might know of where to by the wheels in TF and about any used parts/wheels and such. He also has a board where people list used stuff for sale. Great guy. You will enjoy meeting him. Tracy (dirtster)

Anyone planning a run this weekend? We just took the sleds up into the South Hills after work last night, and I'm thinking there has to be some worthy snow bashing to be done up there somewhere??

Toby, yes there are some good places in the South Hills. The club did a run there on New Year's Day coming in from the Rogerson side. It was a blast. I don't know what the snow would be like now.

From the TF side one could go into the Shoshone Basin and find some spots. Also there is a road that goes east to Oakly or West to Rogerson. There are probably some off roads in those areas.

I work at Home Depot this weekend but I am off at 10AM on Saturday. That might be a possibilty, although starting kinda late in the day. I could bring my Jeep in on the trailer and meet at the HD parking lot at 10 and take off from there. Let my know ASAP.

Let's do it!!

Since we are getting a relatively late start, let's plan for a shorter route or area? Maybe target getting back around 3-4pm or so? I'll follow your lead on where...

I probably won't tow this time either, especially if we just head up toward Magic Mountain south of Hanson?? Regardless, we'll be at HD on Saturday morning @ 10am!!

No restrictions as far as I'm concerned. Just be there and ready to go. I doubt we get into anything too extreme with only two or three rigs. Just to enjoy the day, that's the big thing.

You will see my rig parked at the extreme north side of the HD parking lot near Pier One.
