ill try a link first to see if it works
rubicon trail head, south lake tahoe
but not possitive that it will work. if not go to google maps and search "mc kinney rubicon springs rd, south lake tahoe, ca"
zoom in and go out into the green section.
if everything worked you should see rubicon tr right around there.
( at the end of the white peninsula )
now if you follow that "rubicon tr" out into the green.
you cross a couple of rivers or creeks. and pass mc kinney lake and lilly lake.
and if you sorta zoom out a bit in that area you can see a fairly large loop. goes up out and around buck lake.
im curious what that section of trail is like.
i have my 96 xj 4.5"long arm lift and 35" km2s locked front and rear
and i go up to tahoe for snowboarding every once and awhile and was considering trying to get out and do that loop.
but it would probly be a solo car trip. with just me and my buddy.
i do have a hi lift and come along kit but no winch..
curious what you guys think?
maybe someone wants to plan something?
im thinking like a day trip.
no camping.. and preferably just wheelin, not too big on fishin at the lakes..
but depending on estimated travel time to get around the loop maybe a pit stop could be made.

I've been on there with my buds custom yota, and you need a winch on some parts and I recommended goin with a bud with a rig just in case. We rolled, and had a guy flip us back. Its hard. But your rig should make it. His truck has 42" cut boggers and a droop suspension set up and it was cake. You'll have no issues.
