I usually go to Nevada pic a part and its pull it yourself. Bring your own tools and its $1 per person to get in. Generic prices are online but i don't know of an inventory listing.
One is on boulder highway near warm spring, the other is on lamb up north. Google maps has them.

Dana 60 in the front and a 14 bolt for the rear. But being that race cars run a 9" I can probably get a housing for free then just build it for the rear
I have run a high 9 for a few years if I did it again there are a few options other that I would consider first....but thats technology...always changing
Another reason I am building the XJ the way I am Im doing something differnt with it....Sleeper...

Well my girlfriend and her family race stock cars so i can probably find one. But I'm pretty sure they all run lo pinion. I think I've seen pinion skid plates though? Idk. It's kind of all a dream haha
That's generally what they run and you can get used Detroit lockers all day for them on eBay from racers.
The skid protection isn't the question especially since there is no diff cover and the 9 has a thick case it's the low drive shaft. The 9" is also heavy compared to other axles.
You can actually build a strong 30 or 35 but not as strong as a 8.8, 44,60 etc.. For the rocks if your building one your actually building two dedicated axles it gets expensive quick..
Are you 30 front and 35 or 8.25 rear? You would be surprised how strong you can build those...I may know where there are parts...
Btw glad to see you added lockers...
I will have to get you out in the little xj.. You will have fun watching people just stare at it saying wtf... It's a stock xj..our nickname for it is the FJ killer...Wait till the 4:1 goes in..
It's so hard to keep my xj stock looking...

I've got a 31 spline 8.8 with disc brakes. Iron rock truss, 4.56 gears and Yukon shafts. In the front I got a 30 with ballistic fab truss, c gussets, control arm skids, and 4.56 gears
