Becaue I want to reinforce where I'm gooing to weld on my steering ram mount. They aren't that week actually iv landed the whole weight of my rig on mine a few times now and only chipped the paint

Also I'm going to be parting out a new lift this weekend that I bought just for the coils. I'll update with components but for sure I know I'll have the Rancho 2" coils and 1.75" spacers I have on my jeep now up for sale.

Seems like mounting a 12k winch to a stock front bumper...maybe I'm just not seeing it.

My logic as well.

Why not just build a bracket to weld onto the axle tube? It would be a hell of a lot easier and wont require you to remove steering to replace fluid/work on the front dif

Agreed, to the point if you'd like the ram assist why not just upgrade to a worthy axle. I didn't think 33's were that hard to handle. At the same time ive hit rocks on my stock d30 cover at low speeds and it left a decent mark/dent. I don't understand the entire weight of the vehicle part but I've hit a few with dents

Maybe I'm missing something. Are you mounting something to the cover that is load bearing? If not it would probably be ok then
