Anyone ever have this issue: when I shift to third, i can't go over 3300 rpm. 1st and 2nd I can take off hard acceleration, shift at 4500 rpm, no problem, but once I get into third, and it gets in between 3000-3300 rpm, the rev limiter kicks in. It's irritating, and I have no clue what it could be. No code for it.
I think so too...especially if I'm going to get it because I will have been married for 6 years...hell, I deserve it! lol
I took a look at the instructions for its use and they seem fairly straight forward...they use the spare tire as a rolling fulcrum to protect your winch cable. The tire keeps it off the ground and off of rocks, etc... like this:
Jeep-------/0\------------------Anchor
The cable rides over the tire as you pull yourself out.

This is in 2 HI?
Trans fluid in the green?
No codes?
Have you actually checked to see if there is a code thrown and just not showing up via the light somehow?
See if Alex "The Ocho" will chime in here...he seems handy with a wrench lol

I checked the codes. 2 came up. 0500 which is speed sensor, and 0420 which is catalyst under threshold. So I googled that, catalytic converter, 02, or bent exhaust. I have a crushed down pipe, so maybe that's it. Creating too much back pressure, but is been crushed for a long time, and this is a more recent issue.
I would look into that speed sensor and your upstream o2 sensor. the rear o2 sensor the one that goes into your cat I just backs up the front one but it doesn't change any tables. It basically makes sure everything is the running correctly as far as your emissions are concerned.
unless it somehow got crushed into the catalytic converter some weird thing like that.

You may have a clogged cat too. That would cause the same symptoms you are having. But a clogged cat is caused by misfires or a improper running engine. So there may be other problems associated with it.
And if I am not mistaken, there is a TSB on the cats so you should be eligible for a free replacement.
