I would do RE 3.5" springs with a shackle relocation kit and extended shackles. It will save you a headache later.

High clearance 4wd to run it. 2WD can be used to get to the washes, but once there, 4WD. If its stock, dont bother taking it.

I took my stock Cherokee up the red rock side, but I would never attempt the other side.

I also took a stock 2wd cherokee up the red rock side, but this was like 4 years ago, and very difficult.
