Well today I got rid of the ****ty power windows...I did the power to manual swap..turned out awesome..soon to come cherokee wagoneer quad headlight conversion..**** is gona be sick
If I can't get my oil filter off in less than 5 minutes I take a hammer and punch a screwdriver through it. Make sure you have a big catch container, cause it's gonna get messy. Of course you could always spend a little extra on a K&N filter with a nut welded on the end.

I finally fixed my no or very weak transmit problem I've been having with my CB. Went on a wheeling trip a couple of weekends ago. Installed a brand new CB radio prior to going but, ended up having the same problem. In my frustration I decided to do a little research online. I had three very probable causes for my problem. My old CB antenna was just that, very old! It was a Firestick so I figured it should last forever...oh, and this thing has been beat to death during being installed on 3 different wheeling rigs over about 10 years. I also had cut the antenna coax line to the needed length. I also had very good reason to believe that my CB antenna mount was not properly grounded to the vehicle's frame. So, I purchased a new CB antenna. I also purchased a new coax, shorter this time and with coax connectors professionally installed on both ends. I had a couple extra feet of coax but, I just tied it and stuffed it up under the dash. It said not to cut any length off the coax right on the packaging. I also removed my CB antenna mount and wire brushed all mounting surfaces to remove paint and corrosion. I also ran a wire from where it was mounted to the driver's side fender to the grounding strap that is used to ground the engine block to the firewall. I haven't had a chance to properly test it but, the radio already appears to receive much better and when my son and I talked sitting outside our house, he said I was much clearer even up close than I was the way it was before.
Red tops are pretty good for the warranty.
Only a one year on the yellows though.
Optimas had a bad run a few years ago, but they're back strong now. I put a red top in my Chevelle in '08, and it sits for 5 months of the year just disconnected, no maintenance charger or anything. This week, when we had those few days of nice sunny weather, I went out, connected it and it fired right up after a crank or two.

Yeah 08 is when I bought that one and it was dead two times in the last three months. My wife said its because you run all those lights and everything all the time on searches. I said thats the alternators job! lol Maybe I should have the alternator tested. Idk could'nt hurt!

I never did it with mine, but isn't the Grand Cherokee alternator a direct swap (or very easy swap at least) and it's like 130a instead of the 90a in the XJ?
