Did my brakes and rotors. After coming down from Evans yesterday the same time the brakes started grinding a chirping noise started coming from the drivers side front tire on acceleration between 1000 and 2000 rpms. Was hoping when I fixed the brakes today the chirping would magically disappear too but no such luck. I've googled it and read thread after thread. Seems everyone has a different idea of what it is. It started after hauling down the long very dusty bumpy road from mowich lake so I'm hoping its just someinthing stuck rubbing somewhere and will eventually go away

I looked in the guard when I replaced the rotors today didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Lots of dried mud all over under there lol. Hoping its not the wheel bearings. I plan on upgrading my ujoints soon too

Talked to 3 differnt cops from different jurisdictions about the laws of being doorless with a cherokee and the answer is "if you have mirrors and your seatbelt on ur legal". Finally a solid answer! Just thought id share.

oregon tho.. doorless laws vary state to state. in washington it's illegal. however, just like with the mudflap law, they tend to not enforce it. no guarantee you won't run into a pissy cop who'd cite you tho. it's a roll of the dice really. as long as you aren't driving like an idiot, you'll probably be fine

You must be thinking of something else. They are all 8mm. I guess I have never worked on a manual, but i can tell you with 100% certainty, on an auto xj they are all 8mm.
