trolled a couple junkyards before work.. found a trailer hitch, but it was one of the dinky 1" u-haul ones so i passed. next xj had a beefy 2", but it was some weird offbrand that hung down waaaaaaay to low. would have killed my departure angle, so i passed on that too.
then i saw a comanche with a really nice and simple bumper on it and got excited, as it was pretty much exactly what i wanted to build for mine. set down my tools to look underneath, and my hopes and dreams were dashed to pieces.. guy had tossed in a couple bolts, then welded the whole damn thing to the frame. did get some good rear bumpstops from it tho, mine are broken/missing
took a few pics tho.. guy did some work on this for sure. kinda curious on why it was dumped.

drove it!
lol.. it's been sitting at my buddy's house for a week and a half while I was borrowing his truck for house/yard work. made quite a few dump runs that I would not have wanted to attempt with the jeep. yuck..
then I went to work and built my new sub box..

got it done, and of course we were out of stock on the sub I wanted.. sigh.. getting transferred in tomorrow.
