Advantage: Both front wheels will spin at the same time when you give it gas giving you more traction and making it easier to tackle tough obstacles. Without a locker only one tire will spin.

Disadvantage: With both tires getting traction it puts more stress on the axle components and makes it easier to break things. As long as you are not running bigger than a 35-13 tire and dont get to crazy with the skinny pedal your dana 30 should hold up fine with a locker.

If you want to know the advantages and disadvantages of a lockright versus other lockers just do a search on here. That topic has been discussed at length in many different threads.

One disadvantage of a D30 Lockrite is that they are more expensive than a D30 Aussie Locker....and both are pretty much identical in look and function.

No don't do it you will hate having a locker and will never be happy with it, it won't help out at all on the trails.

Well seeing how we covered that and you are not going to be putting it in your rig I guess I'll be a nice guy and take it off your hands for you so your not taking up room with it laying around but your going to owe me one though.

You say 35-13 tires. That's what Tim runs and he has only gone threw what 3+ carriers and lock rights. Lol.

I have been running an Aussie with 33-12.5 for almost two years and no problems yet. Other then getting to the top of the trail unassisted

I would say upgrade your axle shafts if you put in the locker you will brake axle shafts. The only question is when.Make sure you carry spares.I run 33 12.50 and broke at least 20+ axle shafts until I got chromoly shafts and u joints.I carry 2 extra sets in my trailer and 1 set with me.And when it brakes a shaft pull that shaft out right away or it can pull your ball joints apart.Hope this helps and good luck. Here are couple of pic that the shaft broke and pushed the ball joints apart.

If you wheel enough then you should be breaking stuff and carrying spares. Im just suggesting that a 35" tire is as big as you want to go or you will start breaking stuff too often.
