I just went with Duralast Gold 297 U-joints for the axle knuckles. I couldn't see putting high dollar "Super Joints" in stocker axles. They too have a lifetime warranty so if I break one or both of them I will get them replaced for free. I'm quite sure in the very near future I will be putting Chromo Axle Shafts and Super Joints in this housing as I will be going up to an 8 inch lift and 35 inch Maxxis Bighorn tires. I'm sure stocker D30 axle shafts won't live long with those heavy tires. I will also be putting on a 6.5 0r 7 inch lift coild spring and spacer to make it 8. I will also be installing RC front control arm drop brackets. I will also be installing RC shackle relocation brackets on the rear to level it out.

They come with XRF's "Million Mile Warranty" so I'd say I'm covered for life.
Where did you order them from, too lazy to do the research. I've got to change mine out, still using the old ones from the axle swap.

I ordered them off of E-Bay. The seller was a place called The Tire Club. I got the full set of 4 for $149 delivered. You can just Google XRF Ball Joints to get the skinny on them. This was a better deal than I could find anywhere on Moogs.

Dude look up the Alloy USA Xjoints. They are allow joints for only $40 a piece. I run them and know a few people that run them and they seem to hold up awesome and have a 3 year warranty

So I was doing a little more shopping around on E-Bay today and came upon this (Supposedly) used Rough Country D30 Differential Guard. The guy only wanted $30 for it so I snagged it up. The ad says it has taken a few rock shots. I can see the paint is scrarched on the center piece there a bit. I will wire wheel the rust and touch it up with some rattlecan black and make it look like new for less than half the price of a new one, no problem...LOL!!! I see nothing wrong with it other than the scratched paint. So, now I have differential protection added to my new Homebrew CHEAP Super 30.

I just went and picked my axle housing up from my welding guy. It looks really stout. I will get some pics posted up a little later on.

Here are the some pics of the axle housing all welded up. It will be much purdier after some wire wheel and rattle can black. You can get the basic gist of how it looks, though.
