Thanks buddy I really appreciate it. Actually I do have a question you can answer. Did those damn shackle relocator brackets bolt right into your Jeep without any drilling??

Well, tonight I made some really good forward progress as you can all see from the pictures. The Rough Country relocation shackles were kind of a disappointment as far as clarity of how to put them in. Once I got them in though the lift and flex they are going to give me is going to be amazing!!! I started out by trying to install the OEM shackle bolts through the relocators. That worked to get the passenger side one in. I still had to do a little gentle massaging with the grinder to get the bolt through the one on the driver's side. Maybe the frame is tweaked or the Jeeps been wrecked. i don't know why it wouldn't go through but, I also know a little ingenuity and I got it in. Then I set about drilling and dremeling the holes on both sides on the leading edge of the shackle pocket to install the 2 bolts that go through there to secure the relocator. Again the driver's side was a little more dramatic as the gas filler and breather hoses had to be disconnected and pulled down so I could drill the upper hole. Once those 4 mounting holes were drilled everything just kind of went to together smooth. I added the actual relocator bars. then I added the shackles. then I started getting a little excited about the progress and I went ahead and bolted on the leaf springs. That looked so cool that I decided to slide the rear axle underneath and put it right near where it will be once I install the U bolts and plates tomorrow. I'm really liking the way it is starting to look already. I hope you all enjoy the pics.

Didn't do any work to my Jeep last night. Today I am down in Seattle doing my pre-employment processing for my new job that starts Friday at Boeing in Everett. When I get home this afternoon I am glimg straight to my shop to work on my Jeep.

So we met a huge milestone last night. I had some heavy work to do so Chris gave me a hand. Ole Red is actually sitting on two of his (new to me) 35 inch tires. The pictures really don't do it any justice...that is a 35 inch tire it is skying over!! It's a bit taller than I ever thought it would be. I think once the Jeep has sat on the springs for awhile and I twist it up a couple of times, that the leaf springs will relax a bit. Those are my same springs that were on my old gray Jeep and they were a bit flatter than that when I pulled them off.

Im counting on it settling a bit after flexing it and from the weight of the trail armor.
