Here are a few more pics. All I can say about the new Ridge Rams trail is, AWESOME!!!! I love the the big rocks and still plenty of walker valley clay which will make it very slick and challenging when it is wet from rain.

I haven't updated this thread in quite awhile. I have lots of new pics of a few more mods Ive done to Ol'Red as well as our first few wheeling runs. These are the latest and were taken at Walker Valley a couple of weekends ago.

Well I finally did the rear axle the way I should have done it in the first place. Those are Motive Gear "10" chromo axle shafts and the Teraflex disc brake conversion the the Cherokee Dana 44.

I also did a few more upgrades to make my DIY Super 30 really super. I got a set of Yukon chromo inners and outers for my front Dana 30. I decided to go with Spicer 760 knuckle joints and the chromos came modified to use full circle snap rings instead of the crummy C clips that normally come with axle knuckle joints. Baseline4x4 does offer up Yukon Super Joints to go with their chromo axle kits if you choose to do so for an extra added cost. I also went to Pick n Pull and pulled the steering draglink and tierod from a 93 V-8 ZJ and installed that for an easy, bolt in and bombproof upgrade that any Cherokee owner who plans to run larger than stock tires should install.

One other small added upgrade that I did to my rear axle was cut off the low hanging stocker rear lower shock mounts and welded on some high clerance ones in their place. So much nicer not to drag those old mounts and have them get hung up on everything. One thing you do need to keep in mind about this mod should you decide to do it. The regular length rear shocks for a given lift height will no longer work. I actually took and flexed my jeep out as far as it would go. Then I measured upper mount to lower mount on the stuffed side and extended side to get my required collapsed and extended lengths. I stopped my my friendly local 4Wheel Parts and they had Pro Comp shocks listed in their catalog by whatever collapsed/extended lengths you need. They were very helpful and hooked me up with the perfect set of shocks.

I got super lucky and found a set of 15x10 wheels of the same exact style as my original 15x7s were that I put on Ol' Red. I decided after feeling very tippy whenever side hilling, during the first wheeling trip, that I needed a wider stance and maybe lower lift. I decided to try the wider stance rout first. I'm glad that I did. With the wider rims off set a couple inches more out on each side stability is 1000 times better. I like it well enough that I decided to leave my suspension as is. I really like my lift and the way the suspension flexes and works as is.
